Iva Kevanishvili, MD, Ph.D. Iva has extensive administrative and managerial experience. For several years he has worked as an Executive Manager of a German-Georgian company specialized in producing medical equipment and medical technologies. He is trained in program planning and management, accounting, financial management and program evaluation. Currently he is Chair of Board of Welfare Foundation.

David Gogolishvili, MD, MPH (School of Public Health, University of Düsseldorf, Germany). His working experience includes both governmental and NGO sectors in the fields of emergency assistance, HIV/AIDS and infectious diseases, reproductive health, disease prevention, quality management in health care and international health.

Nino Giguashvil, MD (Tbilisi State Medical University), MPH (Hadassah Braun School of Public Health and Community Medicine, Israel), MPA (State University of New York, USA). In addition to her formal academic training, Nino has completed various international training courses on the issues of Health Policy and Financing, Poverty and Health, Organization of Emergency Medical Care (organized by the World Bank, World Trade Organization, UN Institute for Training and Research etc.). Nino has extensive local and international experience in the fields of healthcare, public policy and financing.

Simon Gabrichidze, MD, MSc – Community Health and Health Management in Developing Countries (Heidelberg University). Simon’s professional experience includes positions of Officer of Health Care Department of the Ministry of Defence, Coordinator of International Health Care Programs, and Chief of Health Information Center at the Central Military Hospital. He has worked as health financing expert in the EU-funded project “Reform of the Health Care Financing System in Georgia”. In addition to his academic degrees, Simon has completed several training courses on health program management in Switzerland, Germany, United States and Latvia.

Miranda Akhvlediani, MD, LLM. Miranda graduated from the Tbilisi State Medical University and then completed a post-graduate course in Reproductive Health. Her second degree is the Master of Law from the Tbilisi State University. She has taught at the Tbilisi State Medical University for several years. Her areas of expertise are health law and patients’ rights advocacy.

Lasha Kalmakhelidze, MD, PhD. Graduated from the Tbilisi State Medical University. Lasha is a surgeon-practitioner. He has completed several training courses on various aspects of health care management and administration, and on project management, monitoring and evaluation.

Tamta Komakhidze, MD, MPH student at the Tbilisi State Medical University School of Public Health. She has also completed several training courses on Gender Mainstreaming, motivational interviewing (TOT), and project management. Prior to her MPH course Tamta worked as a junior doctor (obstetrician-gynecologist) at the D. Koridze maternity house #4. She also worked as a STI/HIV Prevention project assistant at “Save the Children”. Main areas of her expertise include reproductive health, STDs and HIV/AIDS.

Thea Jibuti, MD with the specialization in Pediatrics, graduated from Tbilisi State Medical University. Thea has also completed several training courses in TB Control Programme Management (Warsaw, Poland); applied epidemiology (CDC, Atlanta, USA); Training Methodology (USAID/MSCI); Effective Training Skills and Techniques (Merlin). The main areas of her expertise are TB and HIV. Currently Thea leads the CFCS (Challenge Facility For Civil Society) project “Decreasing the Burden of Tuberculosis by Contributing to Building and Empowerment of TB Communities of Women and Other Vulnerable Groups in Adjara Region of Georgia”.

Tamar Tevdoradze. Tamar leads the project “Global Call for Action against Poverty” aimed at the increasing popular awareness and urging the government to fulfill the Millennium Development Goals. At the same time she is the administrative manager of the foundation.
